Section 1 — Who We Are & Scope
Top Credit Quote publishes reviews, comparisons, and guides for U.S. readers across three niches: Finance & Investment, Technology (including SaaS/AI), and Health & Fitness. We currently earn through affiliate partnerships and may, in the future, sell our own products. This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit the site, interact with content, click affiliate links, subscribe, contact us, or (if introduced later) purchase our own products. This Policy works together with our Terms & Conditions, Disclaimer, Affiliate Disclosure, and Cookie Settings. We are not a bank, lender, broker, advisor, fiduciary, healthcare provider/insurer, or GLBA/HIPAA-covered entity.
Section 2 — What We Collect
2.1 Information you provide: name, email address, message content, partnership/media inquiries, preferences you share with us.
2.2 Automatic/device info: IP address, device/browser type, OS, approximate location by city/state, timestamps, pages viewed, referrers, outbound link clicks (including affiliate links), scrolls/clicks.
2.3 Cookies & similar tech: first-party and third-party cookies, pixels, local storage for operations, analytics, advertising, and attribution.
2.4 Commercial/attribution data: whether a click, sign-up, or purchase is credited to a partner; we do not receive your card/bank numbers from partners.
2.5 Future direct sales (if introduced): contact/shipping info you provide; order metadata; payments processed by a third-party processor—we do not store full payment card data on our servers. We will update this Policy before any material changes.
2.6 Sensitive data: we do not intentionally collect sensitive data (e.g., SSN, precise geolocation, health records). Do not send such data to us.
2.7 Children: Our services are for adults (13+). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (COPPA).
Section 2A — Data Sources
We collect personal information from: you directly; automatic collection (cookies/analytics/logs); affiliate/advertising partners (attribution status only); and public/aggregated sources that do not reasonably identify you.
Section 3 — How We Use Information
Provide, operate, and secure the site; respond to questions and manage subscriptions; measure and improve performance/content; personalize content and limit irrelevant ads; attribute affiliate referrals and prevent fraud/abuse; enforce policies and comply with law; (if we introduce direct sales) fulfill orders and provide customer support.
Section 4 — Cookies, Analytics, Ads & Your Choices
Use our Cookie Settings (banner/footer); adjust browser settings; use industry opt-out tools (e.g., AdChoices/NAI) and ad-platform privacy controls. We honor GPC where applicable. Do Not Track (DNT) is not standardized; we rely on Cookie Settings and GPC for opt-outs.
Section 5 — When We Disclose Information
Service providers/contractors (hosting, security, analytics, email delivery, customer support) under contracts that limit use; advertising/affiliate partners to attribute clicks and conversions and prevent fraud; legal/safety purposes; business transfers (merger, acquisition, reorganization, asset sale); aggregated or de-identified data; (if we introduce direct sales) payment processors and fulfillment partners.
Section 6 — CPRA 12-Month Disclosure
In the past 12 months, we have disclosed identifiers, internet/activity data, and commercial/attribution data to service providers and affiliate/advertising partners for business purposes as described above. We have not sold personal information for monetary consideration.
Section 7 — “Sale” and “Sharing” Under California Law
We do not sell personal information for money. Some partners may process data for cross-context behavioral advertising (“sharing”). Opt out via our “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” option in the footer, enable a browser GPC signal, or email a request with subject “Do Not Sell or Share.”
Colorado & Other Universal Opt-Outs
We recognize browser-based opt-out preference signals where required by law (e.g., GPC). Colorado residents may use a state-recognized universal opt-out mechanism to opt out of targeted advertising.
